Growing our Creativity Capacity

Getting started can be the most challenging part of a new painting or series of works, and Ive found that reminding myself to enjoy and have fun really helps. I’ve been trying a few new things lately, one of which is to play more, and it feels great. Trying something different really changes the energy; it moves us away from linear, comfortable ways of working when we follow what we know, to divergent ways of working when we discover new possibilities.

Don’t get me wrong… there’s a certain way of working that I enjoy, that I am familiar with and that gets me in the ‘flow’ quickly. But pushing myself to think and create more expressively connects with thoughts and feelings in a different way, opening up a new visual and expressive language. To learn more about art and how to engage in the creative process, contact Claire to enquire about mentoring support or join an art group for peer support.

Have you ever thought of commissioning a painting of your own. Working with an artist to realise your own visual language can be an enlightening and exciting process. It may be just what you or your home needs to make it really feel like you are coming home. Do drop me a line if you want to discuss, or follow the link above to see what the process involves, or you may wish to give a piece of original art as a special gift.

Oh, and don’t forget to keep a lookout as I’ll be sending out special offers and time-limited vouchers from time to time, see below.
