Hillside Ferns Leaning
My first fascination with ferns played out in these two paintings. Two oil canvas’s painted at the same time- ferns leaning and ferns upright, both work well in their own right but were painted to be together as a diptych. Standing on the banks of a long gone reservoir in the High Peak, Derbyshire these ferns in full summer height blowing in the wind have great character, showing us their full power and collective resilience. Oil on canvas frames.
